TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR THE SKILLSME LEADERSHIP SUMMIT 2024

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your registration and participation in the Skillsme Leadership Summit (“Event”) hosted by Diana Al-Zubi (“Organiser”). By purchasing a ticket or registering for the Event, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms.

1. Event Details and Ticketing

1.1. Ticket Types and Access
Your ticket grants you access to the sessions and materials specified at the time of purchase. Depending on your ticket, access may include live presentations, Q&A sessions, networking events, or post-event recordings.

1.2. Age Requirement
You must be at least 18 years of age to participate in the Event, unless otherwise specified.

2. Cancellation and Refund Policy
2.1. Refunds
Refund requests must be made in writing no later than 1st December 2024. Full refunds will be issued in the currency of purchase (GBP). Please note that the refunded amount may differ from the original payment due to currency conversion rates and any banking fees applied by your financial institution. No refunds will be issued for requests received after this date.

2.2. Event Cancellations or Changes
If the Event is cancelled or rescheduled by the Organiser, you will be offered a full refund or the option to transfer your ticket to the new date. The Organiser is not responsible for any other costs incurred by attendees (e.g., travel expenses).

3. Ticket Transferability and Resale
3.1. Ticket Transfers
You may transfer your ticket to another person by providing written notice to the Organiser at least 3 days before the Event. Transfer requests received after this date may not be accommodated.

3.2. Ticket Resale
Tickets may not be resold for a higher price than the original purchase price. Any tickets found to be resold at inflated prices will be voided without refund.

4. Content Access and Availability
Access to live sessions is granted to all ticket types. Recordings of the sessions will be made available to attendees for a limited period of 24h after a session goes live. Networking and access to live Q&As are only available to certain ticket types.

4.2. Technical Requirements
You are responsible for ensuring you have the appropriate technology (e.g., internet access, compatible browser) to attend the Event. The Organiser is not responsible for technical difficulties on the attendee's side.

5. Code of Conduct
5.1. Attendee Behaviour
Attendees are expected to behave respectfully toward other participants, speakers, and staff. Harassment, discrimination, or any offensive behaviour will not be tolerated. The Organiser reserves the right to remove any attendee from the Event for inappropriate behaviour without refund.

5.2. Virtual Etiquette
During live sessions and networking events, attendees must adhere to virtual etiquette, including muting microphones when not speaking and avoiding disruptive behaviour in chat features.

6. Privacy and Data Usage
6.1. Data Collection
Your personal data, including name and contact information, will be collected during registration for the purposes of managing your participation in the Event and communicating with you.

6.2. Third-Party Sharing
Your data may be shared with sponsors, partners and speakers, but only if you opt-in during registration or the session. If you choose not to opt-in, your data will not be shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

7. Intellectual Property
7.1. Ownership of Materials
All content provided during the Event, including presentations, videos, and materials, are the intellectual property of the Organiser or the speakers. Attendees may not copy, distribute, or use these materials without prior written permission.

7.2. Limited Usage
Attendees are granted access to the Event materials for personal, non-commercial use only. Any unauthorised reproduction or distribution of Event content is prohibited.

8. Limitations of Liability
8.1. Event Disruptions
The Organiser is not liable for any disruptions to the Event caused by technical issues beyond their control, including but not limited to internet outages, platform crashes, or third-party service failures.

8.2. Content Disclaimer
The Organiser does not guarantee the accuracy or reliability of any information presented by speakers. The content is for informational purposes only and does not constitute professional advice (e.g., legal, financial, medical).

8.3. Liability Cap
The Organiser’s total liability is limited to the ticket price paid by the attendee. The Organiser will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

9. Force Majeure
The Organiser is not liable for delays, cancellations, or changes in the Event due to circumstances beyond their control, such as natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions, or other unforeseeable events. In such cases, the Organiser may postpone or reschedule the Event and provide alternative participation options.

10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
10.1. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom.

10.2. Dispute Resolution**
Any disputes arising out of these Terms or participation in the Event will first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes will be settled through binding arbitration in the United Kingdom.

11. Use of Attendee Content or Participation
11.1. Publicity Consent
By attending the Event, you agree that your name, likeness, or feedback may be used by the Organiser for promotional purposes, including future marketing materials and social media posts.

11.2. Participation in Networking
If you choose to participate in networking events or provide contact details to sponsors, speakers or other attendees, you do so at your own discretion. The Organiser is not responsible for any communications or relationships established between attendees and third parties.

12. Ticket Promotions and Discounts
12.1. Discount Codes
Discount codes must be applied at the time of purchase and cannot be applied retroactively. Discount codes may not be combined with other offers unless explicitly stated.

12.2. Limited-Time Offers
Promotional offers are valid for the period specified. The Organiser reserves the right to modify or discontinue any promotion at any time without notice.

13. Third-Party Content
Some sessions include promotion of goods and services by third parties. The Organiser is not responsible for the content presented in such sessions and does not endorse any products or services mentioned unless explicitly stated.

13.2. Sharing of Data with Sponsors, Partners and Speakers
If you opt-in to share your contact information with sponsors, partners or speakers, they may contact you with offers and promotions. The Organiser is not responsible for communications between you.

14. Refunds for Special Circumstances
14.1. No-Show Policy
Attendees who do not attend the Event or log in to the virtual platform are not eligible for a refund. Access to recorded sessions may still be available as per the terms of your ticket.

14.2. Special Cases
Refund requests for reasons such as illness or emergencies may be considered at the Organiser’s discretion. Supporting documentation may be required.
